Spatulated, pigmented bicomponent mortar, made up with epoxy resin and quartz mixture, solvent-free, with thickness of at least 5 mm. It is not advisable the application of thicknesses lower than 5mm since in practice these are difficult to implement and have final features not suitable to the type of coating chosen. The resin screed is the best solution in presence of particularly deteriorated pavements or where the substrate must respond to strong mechanical solicitation.
For the laying, it is necessary to treat the concrete surface in order to make it particularly compact, removing any area subject to crumbling or stained by oils. Usually we proceed with the mechanical milling of the supporting part.
The freshly prepared mortar is applied to the support, generally with primer to consolidate the surface and with a layer of fresh fixative to facilitate the adhesion of the screed. The application is made by spreading the material over the surface with a straight edge on dime of the desired thickness and then smoothed with a mechanical trowel (helicopter). To saturate the screed two layers of bicomponent resin are subsequently laid for smoothing and a final layer applied with a roller.
